Not sure if the ID is only showing partial number because that's the way the caller wants it, but 646-307-4308 is from Credit One Bank and they are notorious for calling many times a day with no voice upon answer. (just google the number)

Bobby,

Shouldn't any area code 000 number be blocked by Ooma? Is area code 000 legitimate for any call?

i agree, I dont think anyone gets a call from 000-000-000 and its legit.

i think a master switch to block all calls where a number does not display (i.e. 646, or 000-000-0000) would be great.

Me too, an option to block mal-form cid outright would be good.

How about those where the area code if an outright fraud? I keep getting calls from Area Code 062 and there is no 062 code. And I can't block it as it is not a legit area code. What can we do about these types of area codes?

Although I was able to put in a block on a number 123-000-4567. Go figure.

please allow the blocking of any Caller ID that is not diplayed

I keep getting some calls with Caller ID of

0

Just the Number 0

One time I answered it and it was a telemarketer.

Please allow us to block caller ids that dont show up.

I dont care if it ends up blocking a family or friend, they know not to block their number when calling.

When run on your computer, it made automated calls to a block of numbers looking for a modem to answer. If it found one, it would log the number in a text file. If there was no modem tone, it would hang up and go to the next number in the block. It was a way for us to discover remote access or other numbers. Then, depending on a person's motives, a person could "hack" the answering system. I remember one day calling a hidden number that put the fear into me when I realized it was a phone company system and they had trapped my number.
LOL :)

I would get as much information from the telemarketer as you can and report the call to authorities.

Please don't block!

I have been getting calls from my sister and her number shows as 000-000-0000. So please don't block this number!

I think she has caller id blocking on her phone by choice.

On the plus side, I have not gotten a single spam call on my ooma line since I got up and running with the community block service. So I think it's working pretty well. Before Ooma, I got two to three calls a day on this line.

I think all we are asking is for an option to block any number that does not show up clearly or in full.

LIke u can have it OFF but I want it ON.

I want to see every caller ID that comes in and make sure its legit.
