Ooma Telo 32342 Release Notes

Post by Dennis P » Thu Dec 24, 2009 4:37 pm

32342 for Ooma Telo has been released and all Telo's in the field should be upgraded by end of day today.

This is a minor update but does increase the power output of the DECT radio in the Telo to increase the useful range of Telo Handsets. How much increase you will see depends on a variety of factors, but most users should see anywhere from a 10-25% increase in range.

Two other fixes are included in 32342. One fixes an issue that some landline users have with their Telo getting periodic phantom calls when voicemail is provisioned on the landline.

The second fix addresses a security vulnerability with our system. This fix does interfere with a workaround some customers have used of setting the Telo's HOME IP address as the DMZ so that they can access the internal setup web page on the INTERNET port. A different workaround has been identified by one of our beta customers and can be used to implement the same functionality. Please see this thread for more info.

We are making good progress on fixing the issues which prevent us from releasing multi-handset support. If things go well, we should be able to make that available to everyone at the end of the year.
