I also have a new HD2 that stays at connecting and also will not allow my phones to ring and/or connect. I am waiting for reboot #2 from Ooma. No one has offered a return with RMA......how do I get that done? I do not want to be disallowed to return it because I am doing what Ooma wants me to do. I really don't have time for this since I am in the middle of a health crisis and need my phone to work....ANY HELP!!!

Your forum email address doesn't match the one on your account so I can't look it up. Please change it. Will then upgrade the firmware.

Thanks, your telo has been upgraded. Upon reboot the stop button will be blue for 5 min. After that the HS should start upgrading within 1 min or so. If not please power cycle the telo.

I am also having exactly the same problem. Just bought a new Telo and HD2 handset. Have everything set up, and my Telo is activated and connected to the Ooma service. HD2 handset was detected and paired, but the screen has been stuck at "Connecting...." for awhile now. My setup screen for the Telo is showing Version: 107213. IS this correct? Or should I be requesting an upgrade to my firmware?

I’ve been using the first generation Telo and handsets for four years. I got the same “Connecting…” problem when I tried to upgrade to the newer HD2 handsets. Ooma forced an upgrade of my Telo firmware from 107212 to 126598. (I wonder why Ooma let my Telo get that far out of date.) Everything worked, including automatically updating the handset firmware. Be sure your Telo firmware is up to date before you switch to HD2 handsets.

For telo1 the 126598 build is the temporary successor to 107212. There's one additional bug to fix and then it will go out to the whole field. As you can see at viewforum.php?f=10 107212 is the last residential release. The big delta between the two releases suggests many changes but release numbers increment across all software, so a better guide is the forthcoming release notes.

126597 for telo2 has been approved for release and has started being pushed out.

If you have a newly purchased HD2 in Connecting state post here or call/chat support and your telo will be upgraded.
