Do you want a 3G/4G router, a WiFi router, or both in one router?

I use a CradlePoint MBR1200 gigabit router, which is a little bit upscale, and carries a higher price, but does almost everything you'd want; including has excellent quality of service for VoIP traffic.

The main thing is to try to find a router that provides good quality of service for VoIP traffic.

WOW... that is a little pricey at around $270-300 for a router!

I would think this one:

or this one :

both under $100, would be more than adequate.
.

If you have a spare computer lying around unused, you can use Astaro (www.astaro.com) for a router and it won't cost you a dime.

For family, setting up wifi for first time. Trying to pick an inexpensive router...
  1. D-Link Wireless N 300 Router (DIR-615)
    http://amzn.com/B000QD7B6W
  2. Belkin Surf N300 Wireless N Router

  3. Cisco-Linksys WRT310N Wireless-N Gigabit

What number would you pick?

I would purchase a Router that has Wireless N Wi-Fi, and Router gigabit ethernet LAN. (It isn't becasue you will need the Gigabit speed, but if you purchase a Gigabit router, you will probably will be assured to get a more up to date router, with the latest design).

So for the above choices, you'd pick 3 then
