Connecting computer fax to Telo

I haven't tried this yet, but I'd like to connect a phone cable between my computer's modem port and my Telo to use my computer's faxing capability.
Anybody tried this? Can it work?

Let me answer my own question:
Yes. You can fax by connecting the Ooma with your modem output on your computer. The first time I tried this, it did not work. While I could connect to to the destination fax, there was no "handshake." I think that's what it's called. I tried this several times without success.
Today, after clearing up a voice quality problem by rebooting, I successfully faxed my doctor.
