Only the rightmost 5 digits are to be entered. Mine starts with a K followed by 5 digits.

Right. The last 5 digits for me starts with a Q and then for digits. I'll have to give them a call, because it's not behaving for me.

Are you missing a number?

The last 5 digits of the S/N for me are QXXXX (obviously, the X's are other digits, but not all numbers). But you are saying that you have a K and then 5 digits (for a total of 6).

Is that what you entered when you registered your scout?

I have not registered my Scout, but, yes, that's what I have,
Kxxxxx
However I have an extra Scout and it's last 5 are are a combo of letters and numbers. So I guess it can be either way.

I misread a 5 as a 6. Old age doesn't do much for the sight.

I called Ooma support today about this at 1:00pm EST and there was absolutely NO wait time.

They looked at what the hub was seeing and noticed the serial # that the scout was reporting was NOT what was on the box or the bottom of the scout. So, they let me know what it should be and 3 minutes later, it was working beautifully!

Great job Ooma.

The only recommendation I have for the CS folks is to identify yourself when you answer the phone. I've called 3 times and nobody has done that. I always ask though :)

Kudos!

Wow!

Glad CS could help out, things do seem to be improving in that area.

I've noticed there have been more than a few cases of numbers not matching up. Maybe there is a problem with the offshore packaging company?
