That would be the Premier Voicemail Forwarding feature https://www.ooma.com/app/support/featur ... -and-basic

You can do up to 3 emails addresses.

Is there a monthly fee for taxes with basic service? I am reading on these forums that the taxes are $5 month.

However, I have a friend who bought OOMA who says he pays nothing per month.

Please clarify. Thanks.

You can figure out your monthly taxes based on your zip code here: https://go.ooma.com/tax_calculator

Your friend must have one of the older devices named "Core." For new activations, no matter what kind of device, now, Ooma requires monthly taxes (Regulatory Recovery Fees).

Just for information, here is the write up of the different devices a while back: viewtopic.php?t=9245#p64442

How long does it take to port my existing home phone number from Time Warner to OOMA? Do I cancel the Time Warner first before porting over to OOMA?

I can't answer your porting time question but do NOT cancel time Warner or you will lose the number. When the port completes Time Warner will be canceled automatically.

Do not cancel your existing service before porting is done. Request porting from Ooma and once porting is done, your existing service will be automatically cancelled (phone portion of it). You can then call your existing service provider to confirm cancellation.

Porting from the big boys take about a week now (pragmatic view) or even less.

Is the visual voicemail indicator on my phone Ooma basic or premiere? I just purchased the phone and have not purchased premiere yet?

Or am I getting this added (paid) feature of visual voicemail indicator on my phone which will go away once the trial period ends?

Please clarify. Thanks.

No matter what phone you have, the indicator telling you you have voicemail is basic function.

I purchased OOMA today and I am getting Caller Name with Caller ID. I am not planning on purchasing the premiere service but I noticed there is a 60-day trial.

Will I continue to get Caller ID name or will that go away after 60 day trial period?

Please clarify. Thanks.

With Basic, Callerid is phone number only. But if you add contacts in my.ooma.com, when your contacts call, the name would show up as well.

You can opt in/out (cotinuation of Premier when free trail ends) here: https://my.ooma.com/account/services
