I'm trying to port my number to Ooma and in the first page, it asks the type of my Internet Connection. I have AT&T Uverse. I'm not sure if it's DSL or Fiber Optics. Anybody knows?

Uverse uses the copper line to the house. Vrad is what gets the fiber.

Thanks for the answer. I thought it was fiber optics too but I wasn't sure since the copper line is run to my house instead of fiber optics and the port looks just like a phone port.

Now I'm confused because the original answer was only confused by the last answer. So simply, is it Fiber optic or DSL. All my ATT Uverse documentation refers to it as DSL. Unfortunately I answered Fiber Optic on activation and all I get is a blinking red light and Customer service is closed and no I have no phone service.

Thank you.

Basically Verizon's FIOS is fiber optic FTTH - Fiber to the home,

From what I know about Uverse it is basically FTTN - Fiber to the network, and they still rely on cable and copper wire to the home

However that being said it would not matter to your hub ( except for the DSL filtering issue) Your problem has nothing to do with your service but more to do with your network settings

U-Verse will not be interrupted if you drop the land lines. I am running ooma and the U-Verse for internet and TV.
