Telo and multiple adapters

Post by azism » Wed Feb 06, 2013 9:13 pm

I just realized that the Telo only has one USB port. So, if I want a Wireless Adapter and a Bluetooth adapter, I can't do that, right? Or, can a small USB hub be attached to the Telo so the Wireless Adapter and a Bluetooth adapter can be used at the same time? :?

I use a USB hub, that is externally powered. The externally powered USB hub helps with the Bluetooth range.

...but are you using just one device (Bluetooth Adapter) or more than just one adapter (Bluetooth and Wireless)?

I have used both successfully in a non-powered hub. Your mileage may vary.

Yes, a non-powered USB hub preferable with only two ports so a USB Adapter and a Wireless Adapter being used at the same time is what I would like to do. That way I can get the Telo and my wireless phone base unit off my crowded computer desk and into the kitchen when it would be closer to the cell phones and to the normal traffic pattern of the house. Thanks for the feedback. :D

Can I use the Ooma Telo WIreless Adapter and the Ooma Bluetooth Adapter at the same time?

Yes! You can use the Ooma Telo Wirelessa Adapter and the Ooma Bluetooth Adapter at the same time by using a USB hub with your Telo.

Thanks for the feedback guys! Now, to decide which is better for my uses, the Linx or the Wireless Adapter. I'm leaning to the Wireless Adapter.
