Hello Everyone.

My setup is as follows
DSL (Static IP) (On a Separate line then My land line)
Linksys Router WRT150N
1 Wired Computer
1 Wireless Laptop
1 Wired NAS Server
1 Wired XBox 360
1 Wireless Printer

When I hook the hub up after my router Everything seems to work fine.
DSL Modem ---- Router ---- Ooma hub
I did a test call and there seems to be a delay in the delivery of the conversation. Son would talk and a second or two later I would hear it.

I have tried to hook it up before my router with no success.
DSL Modem ---- Ooma hub ---- Router

My dsl modem lights up like everything is working Green lights on the power, line and LAN. The Ooma hub is blinking red and the 1&2 & Garbage & Emvelope are lit red. I have booted everything and still nothing. Have also checked all connections. I have no internet access setup this way.

Also I can not get into the hub configuration either way I hook it up. I have tryed Setup.ooma.com and 172.27.35.1 and I get am error page.

I'm at my wits end, Please help.

Thanks
Matt

Your computer must be connected to the Home port of the hub for http://setup.ooma.com to work.

When you put the ooma hub ahead of the router did you configure the DSL PPPoe parameters in the hub? I guess not since you said you couldn't connect to the hub's configuration page. When you put the hub ahead of the router you also have to remove the PPPoe login from the router and configure it for automatic DHCP instead.

Thanks for the quick reply.

I connected to the computer and got into the configurations.
Where are the PPPoe parameters in the hub?
I'm pretty sure I don't need this. My router is set up as static IP. Which the provider I'm with I have never had a PPPoe, or am I missing something?

Thanks for the help
Matt

In that case you need to configure the ooma hub to have the static IP address that your ISP gave to you. You also need to modify the router to request a dynamic IP address instead of having that static IP address.

In the hub configuration I choose:

Network Connection = Static IP Address

Then enter
My IP (check)
Net Mask (Does this stand for subnet mask?)
DNS1 (check)
DNS2 (check)
Router Address ??? (Is this what is Called Default gateway wich is given to me by my ISP)

Thanks Again

Starting to feel like I'm getting a little closer.

Yes, Netmask is the subnet mask and Router address is the Default Gateway address specified by your ISP.
