Fax not workng

The fax works plugged directly into the Teleo.

If I connect the house wiring to the Teleo my home phones work fine. If I plug the printer/fax in it kills the home phones. No dial done and the fax will not send or receive. Unplugging the phone gives the same result. With just the fax plugged into the house wiring I swapped the tip and ring in case I had them reversed. Same result.

There is about 90' of wire between the Teleo and the wall jack the fax is plugged into. A phone works fine on that jack and using the same RJ11 cable I use to connect to the fax.

Ooma's support says the fax must be plugged into the Teleo and that something must be wrong with the house wiring. I don't understand what can be wrong with the wiring if a phone works on that same jack.

FAX over Internet just doen't work well. Ooma says theirs works, but, it doesn't seem to work well for me either.
