The WiFi router uses PPPoE to connect to the internet. This all works as expected.
DSL modem is in "transparent bridge" mode. DHCP server is disabled on the Telo.
The odd thing is that when I reboot the WiFi router, the Telo is answering the PPPoE request from the WiFi router. To get things working again, I have to do these steps:
- Unplug Telo
- Log onto WiFi router and disconnect internet connection
- On WiFi router, connect internet again (now ISP responds to PPPoE instead of Telo)
- Power Telo back on
The crux of the problem is that the Telo responds to the PPPoE and breaks my Internet connection until I unplug it. Once the Telo is unplugged, my ISP responds to the PPPoE connection and my connection is back up.
Is there any way to prevent the Telo from responding to the PPPoE request from my WiFi router?
