Connect a LAN cable from LAN port 1 of the router to your computer.
Turn on the router.
Wait until it completes it's power on cycle.
Open a command prompt window.
Enter the following command

ipconfig /all > c:\log.txt

Open Notepad, and open the file log.txt which is in the root directory of your C: drive.

Redact the physical address (MAC) [change to all xx]

Copy and paste the rest of the text into a message on the forum.

If you are running Vista you will probably have to create a folder to store the file in since I think default Vista won't let you write into the root of C:.

Does your pc display the correct time/date? These leases should show current dates

The time on my pc is incorrect, sorry about that. I don't think it's a big problem though.

Connect to 172.27.35.1 and change the router's DHCP server to issue addresses in it's default range 192.168.1.x.

You did not successfully do a factory reset.

The router is issuing addresses in the same subnet as the ooma hub.
That can not work. Routing can't take place in that environment.

The lease times come from the router. The router's WAN port is not connected to anything so it couldn't contact an NTP server to get the correct time and date.

What should the range be? and how long should the range be?

And I am pretty sure there is a cord in the WAN port. 100% sure. All I know is that the time on that particular pc is messed up. Also, when i do ipconfig on my computer, the time is correct.

It can be whatever you want as long as it's a private address and is different from the ooma hub.

Set the start to 192.168.1.2 and the end to 192.168.1.99
Set the address of the router itself to 192.168.1.1

Once that is saved, you will connect to 192.168.1.1 to get to the router's web configuration page.

I asked you to disconnect ALL cables from the router to run the test. That includes the WAN port. The test is invalid if there was a cable in the WAN port.

How do I set the address if the router itself? I only see spots for the start and end.
