I understand that the hub can be assigned a personal number. How can i assign the hud a personal number. That way, I would have two different dumber coming from different wires, which i can plug into my two line telephone base.

If you are talking about using the Ooma system as a stand-alone Internet Voip service (no ordinary telco landline involved), and you want to maintain two physical RJ11 phone wires 24/7... each with its own separate number on it... you will need to set up both the Ooma Hub and the Ooma Scout and get the Ooma Deluxe service that provides you with two (or more) telephone numbers. Then you simply assign the Hub with one of those numbers and the Scout with the other number and plug BOTH of them (though the RJ11 TEL Port) into the two-line telephone base.
