Interesting. If you go to Menu > Sound Settings > Earpiece Volume, what level is checked?Wiz_Bang wrote:I am not happy with the overall call volume levels. I can barely hear the other person with it cranked all the way up

Re: OOMA TELO HANDSET
Interesting. My handset is actually loud on the earpiece, not so loud on the speaker phone, but once turned up is fine. Caller states I sound loud and clear. It might even be a bit better than my ooma hub.

Re: OOMA TELO HANDSET
Sounds like perhaps they need to change the level between steps then. The default setting is "2", which is comfortable for me, but people have different needs.Wiz_Bang wrote:Maximum checked

We are cranking up the volume of the max level in the next release.Wiz_Bang wrote:Maximum checked

Yep, I just checked mine and it is set to 2. Can't imagine wanting it any louder.Groundhound wrote:Sounds like perhaps they need to change the level between steps then. The default setting is "2", which is comfortable for me, but people have different needs.Wiz_Bang wrote:Maximum checked

Re: OOMA TELO HANDSET
Well I have excellent hearing and even with it at max it still sounds muffled. I cranked up the speaker phone setting so tomorrow I will give that shot and see if it sounds any better for loudness. I compared this handset with my current Panasonic 6.0 DECT and hands down the Panasonic settings are only half way up and are plenty loud. I hope the volume settings and few other issues get corrected soon. I would really like this product to work for me, but overall am disappointed in its performance. I would loving nothing more than to dump Time & Warner and use this product.
Re: OOMA TELO HANDSET
If you have a good high-speed Internet connection, you can also experiment with a higher bandwidth codec which may sound sound better for you. Try dialing *98 before a call. If you like that, you can set it permanently inside My Ooma under System Preferences.Wiz_Bang wrote:Well I have excellent hearing and even with it at max it still sounds muffled. Re: OOMA TELO HANDSET
Isn't that already set if shows under:
System Preferences:
and this checked ----> Enable high-bandwidth codec
System Preferences:
and this checked ----> Enable high-bandwidth codec

I ran a check so here are my results, so I don't think up/download speeds are an issue for me.
