forwarding to different numbers

I have two ooma numbers. They both come in OK to the same hub.

How can I set them up to forward to DIFFERENT numbers?

If THAT doesn't work, can I have both of them forward to TWO numbers?

ps -- I've had one ooma number for several months, with few problems, and just upgraded to premium to get the second number.

If you assign a scout to one of the numbers, you will have a separate my.ooma login for that number where you can independently control features like call forwarding.

Simple directions;

1. Scroll to top of this page.
2. Scan to the right of the menu that says, ooma, products, premier, media, support, buy, activate AND My Ooma
3. Click My Ooma
4. Log in using your phone number and password
5. Send the resident raccoon a walnut brownie or cookie.

(the last step is optional :P )

Either 1-4 was a joke which went past my ear, or you lost me.

My understanding from:

is that I need to install a Scout (in the box the Ooma came in, which I need to find), change the second number from 'shared' to 'scout' (or whatever), and that I could THEN forward it separately to a different number.

You do the scout assignment to your second number in my.ooma (southsound was showing you where the link was). When you assign the scout, you will be asked to provide some info - name for CID purposes and a password. The password is what you use, along with the phone number, to sign into your secondary my.ooma account for all the options associated with that number. So you will need to log out of your primary account and then log back in with your secondary account.

Oops. I guess I read your post too quickly. Since they renamed the Lounge to My Ooma I thought you were having trouble discovering where the new login was. My bad.

But I sure understand the "where is the box" situation. I normally keep unused accessories, instruction manuals, even receipts in the box that an item came in. Then I misplace where I put the box. My brother actually numbers all of the boxes in his garage and has an index by item name and location in the garage. I guess I'm just not that organized.

OK ... I've found everything. Didn't take TOO long (Thanks, Ooma for the distinctive packaging).

I don't have my HUB connected to my phone line.

Can I just connect HUB(WALL) to SCOUT(WALL) ?
(As if my DSL was on a different line).

Uh-oh ... I've run out of phones! I've got my (dsl-filtered) land-line and HUB(PHONE) going to a 2-line phone.
[ I'm sure I've got another phone ... in a box ... somewhere .... ]

Stand by for either a) In 30 seconds, a blue light on the scout's tab or b) In 1 second, a puff of smoke .....

c) I plugged in the power and the Scout turned every light bright red. I connected wire-to-wire, and the tab turned blue (quicker than promised : 1 second).

NOW I can go to My Ooma and change the settings.

AND put my ooma box away again.
