Can ooma receive landline calls?

Hi,
I just got my ooma system and installed it with my landline phone which has DSL. I did not port my number and chose a new ooma number (wanted a new phone number). I have all my phones connected to ooma hub & scout and realized that I have some important calls coming in from my old phone number. Is it possible to set ooma to receive incoming calls from my landline phone number? For a workaround I plugged in an old phone in my landline jack (which does not have ooma) to get calls from my landline number. I was hoping all my phones connected to ooma would ring if someone calls my landline number. I noticed that If internet connection is disconnected then all incoming and outgoing landline phone calls work.

You wouldn't happen to have Call-Forwarding from your old landline number that can be used in this case?
Otherwise, best to simply get out that new phone number to family, friends and businesses right away.
