Ooma before or after your router

I know the Ooma instructions say to put it before your router, but I hate having anything before my router, so I put it behind my router. Seems to be working fine.

Any pros/cons? Do I need to do some adjustments in my router to give it priority?

I have mine behind my router and it works great. My Linksys has a setting in the menu for QOS (Quality of Service). I set that to AUTO.
Also set port prioity to HIGHEST on the port its plugged into.

DSL 5.1 mbits downstream and 640 kbit upstream, landline quality.
