Mobile 5.2.1 - Inbound/Outbound problems

Post by steve! » Tue Apr 21, 2015 8:25 am

I just started using he app last week and it is not going well.

Often inbound callers are getting a busy signal with no voicemail option. I tried seting multi-ring with my cell (app is on my cell), but if I decline the call on my cell then the inbound call is immediately disconnected with no vm option.

Also outbound calls frequently have no sound. It will say connected with a timer, but I can't hear anything. Calls also drop when switching from LTE to wifi.

I've deleted and reinstalled, logged out and in. The problems still persist, seemingly at random.

Update! Still doesn't work.

Missing calls because I don't receive them, missed calls not showing up in the call log, some callers hear nothing and get disconnected...

I just recommended this service to a friend. Now he thinks I'm crazy. Why you do this to me Ooma??!!??!?!!??

So much for their promise to fix this today. Just ordered a magic jack. Will be here on Saturday. I hope it works because after being an Ooma customer since 2011, and recommending it to others, my patience is gone.

I have never used Magic Jack, but, after reading a recent customer review of the Magic Jack Go!, these four issues would be deal breakers for me:

1. No voice-mail light when you have a voice mail--voice mail by email only.
2. Caller ID only shows number, not name (on incoming calls).
3. No caller ID on call waiting.
4. Voice quality.

I don't have names on my Caller ID now anyway. I don't use call waiting, so that is not an issue. It's about 40% less expensive than Ooma per month. Will have to see about the quality when I get it. If it isn't acceptable, then I'll just send it back. Or use it for backup for whatever plan I do choose.

in any case, not being able to receive calls from my family is kinda a deal breaker for me. ;) This has been going on for a week now. that is a long time to not have working service (while being billed for the full amount).

i have been having issues with receiving incoming calls. I can not receive any. outgoing is fine. People calling say the phone is not in service. very frustrating. checking my call logs it says i am receiving calls which is inaccurate. i am not receiving any calls. checked with my cellular provider & they said it is an OOMA issue. Please fix :(

I am having the same problem. I am able to initiate calls from the phone connected to my Ooma Teleo but when I dial in nothing rings.

Same problem for me, the ringer in the cellphone never rings when there is an incoming call. Ooma has escalated (again) the issue to 'Engineering'. Meanwhile my free trial evaporates a little more each day. It's been 2 weeks now, NOTHING.

I installed the latest version of the mobile HD ap (released yesterday), same problem.

Is anyone from Ooma on this forum?

Update.......

Ooma has contacted me, suspecting that the carrier that supplies my telephone number has a technical issue. They are going to change my number temporarily for testing purposes.

Will keep the group posted.
