Ooma Mobile IOS HD 5.10 (119275)

A nuisance has returned. Thought it was licked in a prior update but I guess not.

When I call home from my Cell, using my cell phone number then hang up. Surprise, 2 seconds after I close my conversation, my Ooma Mobile app starts ringing incessantly telling there is a CALL to my Telo2 and it the number displayed is my home number on the Ooma app.

The ONLY, repeat ONLY way to stop the darn app from ringing is to close the Ooma app, or I could hit my iPhone with a 20 pound sledge hammer. That might do it and also get me a brand new iPhone that would do the same thing with the same app.

For the record - My Ooma preferences are set such that when someone calls my home ring the Telo2 and my Ooma app. I do NOT have anything checked in the third option.

Let's see if I am the only person on this planet experiencing this? Let's see if there is a kind Ooma moderator who will take this issue seriously and pass it on to the lone software developer.

Tnx,
Ira

Tom,

1. When making a cell call to my Telo2 number, the Telo2 home phone rings and they show my Cell phone number.

2. When I cancel a completed phone call from Cell to Home, ONLY my Ooma iPhone4 App rings showing call from home.

3. Unfortunately, the issue does not happen every time. I tried it today. It did not happen.

The ONLY way to stop the ring back to my Ooma app is to close the Ooma app. Using the cancel/disconnect button doesn't work for the bogus call.

You say "cancel a completed phone call". Do you mean cancel a ringing call or hangup on an answered call?
Is your cell the number ending in 100?

The scenario you posted previously that experienced this symptom is the opposite: it features a telo to cell call. See 3/6 post at viewtopic.php?f=20&t=18845.

viewtopic.php?f=20&t=18845 was a different problem that does not occur these days - thank you.

Here goes it again:

1. I called home using my cell phone (number ending 100).
2. Converse with home for about 30 sec. We say bye bye and we each hang up.
3. Seconds later my Ooma App is ringing. I did not use the App to make the call.
4. I view the App because it is ringing. Call is from my home (essentially Telo2).
5. I attempt to stop the app from ringing by pressing the regular button on the Aap I think is called cancel or whatever.
7. The App continues to ring and I mean it be forever (from past experience).
8. I need to close the Ooma app to stop the ringing.
9. This does NOT happen when I call ANY OTHER NUMBER from my cell (100).
10. It is a problem with the Ooma app as I see it.

Tnx for your quick responses to understand the issue.

Ira

I know I broke this down in detail but apparently I was not clear enough with all prior (I think simple to understand) explanations.

Just asking for a heads up - Is Ooma investigating this problem? Do you know if it on a priority list or simply bottom of the you what can?

I know what makes it difficult is to investigate something that a) is not repeatable and b) the typical ... sorry we can't reproduce it. You know that is what we hear as users ... and yes, from other s/w providers.

Just want to hear yep, they're workin' it. Yes/No? When? Maybe?

A bug has been entered with logs detailing the issue. Work on it will be prioritized alongside other bugs in the pipeline. Other people chiming in here will raise the priority of the bug.
