Changing cell chips and the Ooma Mobile App

Post by 8059695799 » Sat Jul 30, 2016 11:11 am

When traveling outside the US I usually use a UK GSM chip to make local calls.
Does the Ooma mobile app (which of course enables calling over the internet) care what chip I have in my cell phone?
I'm assuming that the chip number is completely irrelevant to the internet call, but thought I'd ask. Thank you.

The Ooma app uses your data connection, whether it be WiFi or cellular. It doesn't know nor care how the phone makes its cellular connection.
