Call button doesn't work (Android)

My husband installed the app on his Samsung phone. Everything seems to work except the call button for outgoing calls. He is able to compose the numbers for dealing but he can't complete the final step when hitting the button to start dialling. Does anyone know of anything that we could try to fix this?
