App questions.
The only app I see in the Google Play Store is just called "Ooma". Is that what this forum is for?
If it is, I have some questions:
1. Does it (the app) let me make calls over Wi-Fi to landlines? Even if travelling internationally?
2. If yes, is there a charge?
3. The other basic question is, is the app using SIP?
4. If the answer to that is YES, can I just use SIP on my phone?
5. If that answer is YES, what are the settings (username, password & server)?
Well thanks in advance,
Eric

Re: App questions.
Yes, the Ooma HD app allows you to make calls internationally over wi-fi to landlines and cell phones. Ooma to Ooma calls are free. Calls to the U.S. are free. If you have Premier, then calls to PR, Canada, and Mexico are free. Note that calls to cell phones may be priced higher. You can go here to find the full list of fees: https://www.ooma.com/telo/international-plans/

Re: App questions.
Thank you @ oomamaniacal
One other quick question.
I installed the app. When I launch it, it wants me to set my calling mode (outbound only, inbound only, both).
Is this going to take over on my phone, i.e. always use the app? It kind of seems like it is, but I would like to selectively choose when to use Ooma.
I'm afraid to make a choice, without knowing the consequences.
Thank you in advance,
Eric

Re: App questions.
I have the app set for outbound only, and it did not take over my phone--I can still make calls using my cell phone service provider.
