Android App on Pixel Phones notifications bug

The OOMA Home Phone app on my Pixel 6a no longer has notifications available, which means that I no longer get notifications when a voicemail is received. Based on recents reviews for the app in the Google Play store, this seems to be a problem specifically on pixel phones and started after the May 3 update. The app on my Samsung table is working fine. As can be seen in the attached screenshot from the Android Settings, the app does not do any notifications and it is not possible to enable them.

If you configure notifications in the Ooma web site, you will get regular text notifications. That does seem to work now.
