"System Notifications" menu doesn't work

Set my app to notify when changing modes manually but not a peep is heard from the Telo and no notifications are sent. Set the app to NOT notify if the Telo is offline due to internet or power issues and then unplugged it. Sure enough, a little later comes a push notification to my cellphone.

I have opposite problem, I don't want mode change modifications but I still get them

As the 'System Notifications' menu shows there's 4 types of system events. Each event type has two notification types: a log entry in the app and push. In the 'System Notifications' menu you can turn off both of these notifications for any of the system event types.

In other words system events are never spoken on the telo. Also your phone won't record the push if the app is in the foreground.
