Latest frustration.... the Telco base does not make any announcements at all.. even when doors/sensors are triggered and setup properly. They used to, but now nothing.
I noticed the Telco doesn't make any announcements, even when pushing the volume keys... not sure if there is a master switch or the speakers busted ?

Press volume up twice and enable registration mode using the button in the back. If you don't hear anything then the speaker is busted or there's a loose wire.

Just to close off, the speaker on my telo broke. Got a new telo and speaker works

is it a common problem that the speaker fails ? The replacement unit's speaker has failed me probably within the last few weeks, I didn't notice but realized one day that I wasn't getting any audible announcements...
