Motion Sensor setup

Post by 6rtury » Fri Dec 13, 2019 9:30 am

OK. I give up. Am setting up the motion sensor and cannot even insert the battery. First of all, the unit has no indication of required polarity. Maybe it doesn't matter. Second, and more importantly, I can't even get the battery to fit into the compartment. Neither of the contacts has any "give" or "spring", and it just won't fit. I've tried it every which way.
Any suggestions before I return this?

Installing the battery in the motion sensor is kind of a challenge but if you examine the battery compartment carefully you will see the battery can only be inserted correctly.

The trick is to hold the battery parallel to the compartment when inserting it. If you try to insert one end of the battery first you will never succeed.

Also, remember to place the red strap underneath the battery so you can remove it easily by pulling on the strap.
