No motion=No alert

Post by thomasm » Tue Dec 24, 2019 7:30 am

If you set up the app to notify you when motion detectors sense no motion the time interval you select is ignored and you do not get the notification you have selected. What you do get is a log entry 2 minutes after motion is detected which is when the motion detector reports no motion to the Telo.

I discovered that the "no motion detected" alert doesn't work when in home mode but DOES work in all other modes. I don't know if this was done on purpose or if it's a bug but if it was done on purpose it's kind of dumb to have "when no motion is detected" timed choices available when programming the motion sensor alert choices in home mode.

However, it doesn't work exactly correct in any mode. If you choose "after 5 minutes" you actually get the alert 7 minutes after motion is detected. That is because the motion sensor transmits a "no motion detected" message to the Telo 2 minutes after motion is last detected. That's when the server begins it's 5 minute timer.
