Butterfleye camera firmware upgrade unsuccessful

I hadn't used this camera since I originally got it (the original Butterfleye). It connected to the app just fine and the first two firmware upgrades worked without issue (apparently it does incremental updates instead of just updating to the latest firmware).
Unfortunately, the 3rd firmware update keeps failing. No explanation, just the error message:
"Camera firmware upgrade was unsuccessful".
What can I do to get this camera updated to the latest firmware?
