Telo Power Cord

Post by cegarbage » Fri Oct 18, 2024 7:51 am

My power cord broke and i tossed it. I replaced it with one that works; however, i hear static. Can someone provide the right specs to take to an electronic store to get a good cord?

According to this topic, the specs for the Telo 2 AC adapter are:

  • 5V 2A
  • 3.8x1.35mm
  • Inside Positive (+) Outside Negative (-)
  • Barrel Length 6.9mm
However, also check the label on the bottom of the Telo 2 base station; at least some of the newer ones are rated at 5 VDC, 3A.

I never saw this response, thanks. I bought a 5dc 3a and it buzzes, that's what it says to buy on the bottom of the ooma. But my cord that worked but broke says its 6v. so i'm going to buy a 5 and 6 v and see what works.

Which buzzes, the Telo, or the AC adapter? Look for a replacement adapter with a UL safety certification. What was the rated output for the adapter that Ooma originally provided with the Telo?
