We recently are experiencing lots of quality issues. Static on the calls, trouble with clients hearing us and dropped calls. Can you please help us resolve this? Thank you.

Tom we have gone through all of the troubleshooting with Ooma phone support on Qos settings, etc. Our default router from the cable company does not make Qos settings possible.

We tried doing it though a different router and that opened up other issues for us.

What other options do we have to improve phone call quality? We have a fast cable plan and can't seem to resolve this issue.

Yours is an Office account. Disabled Ooma QoS on the base as you're not using the home port. As you're running a business it's likely that the devices in parallel with Ooma behind the router carry a fair amount of traffic which can squeeze the voice traffic, so QoS on the router or Ooma at the head of the network is definitely recommended.

Hello,

New Ooma customer here on a gigabit connection to ISP (Fiber gigabit) and noticing calls breaking up and static, clicking etc. I am on the east coast and when I am on a call I noticed it is going to LAX and San Jose, can I be moved to the East Coast server please?

Thank you!

Justin.

I dont get many calls on my Ooma phone but lately every other call just about is scratchy and buzzy where I cannot make out a word the person is saying. Their voice is all cut out among the scratchy and buzzy sounds. It was fine for the first several months we had it but now I hate to even answer the call not knowing if it will be clear or not. Its setup right behind the modem and speed is 100down/6up. Not sure what else to try, does changing server help?

I got this handheld device a month ago. Changed it because I could barely understand people due to the scratchy sound. Got a new one 2 days ago: Same thing.
To the opposite of some folks around here, people at the other end of the line hear me very well; even better than with my landline... but that is useless if I have to ask them to repeat every sentence.

I would appreciate some hepl
Thanks!
