voice quality gets very poor lately
Anyone know if there is an easy way to copy the text from the Phonepower Speedtest results and copy to notepad? This is to allow an easy method to paste results in this forum. Maybe it's obvious but I am not able to figure it out. Any help is appreciated.

Advanced Tab, View Text, Select all text using mouse or CTRL+A, CTRL+C to copy

For copying to a Word document:rp1 wrote:Anyone know if there is an easy way to copy the text from the Phonepower Speedtest results and copy to notepad? This is to allow an easy method to paste results in this forum. Maybe it's obvious but I am not able to figure it out. Any help is appreciated.
Run Phonepower Speed Test. Click on the Advanced tab. Click on View text at the bottom right side of window. Click on bottom line of window and drag to open to correct size. Do the same for right side of window.
On you keyboard, press Alt & Print Screen keys. Open Word and paste.
I couldn't get this to work with Note Pad, but it works fine with Word.

lbmofo: Did you actually try this lately. It hasn't worked for me since they overhauled the Phone power application? If it works for you, than I'll have to see why it doesn't work for me.lbmofo wrote:Advanced Tab, View Text, Select all text using mouse or CTRL+A, CTRL+C to copy

I found the fix. lbmofo you must not have the current version of Java?lbmofo wrote:Yes, tried just before posting.

Why can't I copy the "Speedtest phonepower" test results anymore?
Oracle, the developer of the Java programming language, released Java 6 Release 24 (Java 1.6.0_24) in February 2011 to remedy 21 vulnerabilities: Announcement
As part of this security release, it appears that the ability to copy & paste from a computer's clipboard into a Java environment has been deemed a security threat, and therefore disabled. MyConnection Server is not preventing the copy/paste function -- the Java program on your computer is preventing it.
See Can't Copy Speedtest Phonepower test results attachment for fix. Most people will be using Java 6 Update 26 version 6.0.260.
For this version the file named Java.policy had to be opened through Microsoft word to add the text line:
permission java.awt.AWTPermission "accessClipboard";
Directly under existing text line:
// "standard" properies that can be read by anyone
After a save and restart of the Windows browser, Speedtest Phonepower Copy and Paste works again.

So you use Sun JRE 1.6.0_26 Certified with Oracle E-Business Suite.lbmofo wrote:I have 1.6.0_26
Most people will be using Java 6 Update 26 version 6.0.260 which is the standard current download recommended by Microsoft's link to Oracle, as of July 24, 2011. See http://www.java.com/en/
(Anyone using this information must realize that the Java version is updated periodically, so the update and version number will change).
For this version the file named "Java.policy", located in the Java program folder, has to be opened through Microsoft word, or any text editor, to add the text line:
permission java.awt.AWTPermission "accessClipboard";
Directly under existing text line:
// "standard" properies that can be read by anyone
After a save and restart of the Windows browser, Speedtest Phonepower Copy and Paste works again.

My bad. I never verified CTRL-C actually put stuff in the clipboard. It didn't.

I believe the procedure that I posted will work for any version. I don't know what will happen when the automatic update happens? It may wipe out the fix?lbmofo wrote:My bad. I never verified CTRL-C actually put stuff in the clipboard. It didn't.
