I've been having horrible problems with delays on outbound calls before the line rings. We have Ooma Telo and Uverse NVG510. It started when we switched to this Uverse router last year.

After trying everything, I found adding # after the number = it solved the problem and it instantly rings now.

is there any way to making this permanent without having to disable 10 digit dialing on my dashboard? Bad memory here so i know i will forget to add # to all outbound calls, and my husband for sure won't remember lol.

thx!

They delay before ringing only happens when 10 digit dialing is enabled when when dialing 7 digits.
If you are dialing 7 digits and 10 digit dialing isn't enabled, there shouldn't be a delay.

right, but i do have 10 digit dialing enabled. i would like the # to work without having to enter it in my phones address book after each #. I guess that's not possible so it may be easier for me to add a 1 to all long distance entries and disable 10 digit dialing.

Hi Tom, I tried *98 manually and it solved the delay issue so I contacted support and they set RTP_USE_ULAW to 1 in the Info service under Services, but the delay is still there unless I dial *98 before making the call. Can you offer any further assistance?

it's correctly set, there's no difference between the two, so all I can suggest is additional test
