Having the same issues as MsM and swbrains; wonder if moving to the east coast server would help my service in St. Catharines, Canada?

Something to think about.

Many times it's the Modem that is causing the half duplex condition.

The modem will seem to function properly for all other uses, but not for the Ooma device.

If you can try using another modem for testing.

Hello - I am new to forum but have been w/ ooma since 8/8/2012 I too experience half-duplex and other sound quality problems over the years. I have finally migrated my ooma telo to the preferred location - between the modem (Netgear CMD31T) and router (Netgear WNDR3700v2) hoping that this would fix the problem of voice cut-out when both parties talk at the same time. While this seems to have helped with some recent quality issues I've had, the half-duplex is still present. I have never had much success with the online chat (always very polite, yet somehow eager to sell me something) and am turning to forum in the hope that perhaps I can be moved to the fabled "east coast server" assuming I'm not already there.... Thanks in advance!

I have a very challenging issue with half-duplex. A friend just told me on the phone that the reason she didn't go to OOMA is because of the problems we have in our phone conversations. She had done a search and saw many complaints about the half duplex problem. After reading this forum string, I would like to know if Tom could also wave that east-coast-server magic wand for me??

I look forward to hearing back on this. Thank you! :) :)
