echo when calling my Ooma home phone

Post by ve52001 » Wed May 24, 2017 12:18 pm

Has anyone else have a terrible echo when calling your Ooma phone? I noticed it at first when calling from my cell phone and thought it was just my cell phone. Well I called from my job the other day and got a bad echo as well. I have my router optimized from my Ooma with the highest priority and do not have any other issues.

Try connecting a different phone, connected to your Ooma device, and then test.

If you are using a wireless phone connected to your Ooma device, make sure it is a DECT 6 phone.

They are Panasonic DECT 6 phones, and the telo is connected Cat5 to router. Tom moved me to the EC server and it seems better right now after testing it. I have the QOS optimized for the Ooma telo, and have no other issues. The echo is gone now.
