Issues with Having Both Wired and WiFi

Post by HowieF » Sun Jun 11, 2017 6:22 pm

I was having some strange issues with drops and bad voice quality. I noticed that I had the "Internet" port connected to my router but had just installed the WiFi. Unless there is something in the circuitry to handle that, having two (or more) Ethernet connections usually is not a good idea (technically, WIFI is Ethernet: wireless Ethernet). Anyway, I disconnected the wired Ethernet and left WIFI and the issues stopped.
Don't know if this would help anyone, but it seems to have cleared things up for me.

As a general rule wired internet is more reliable than wireless internet. I doubt the Telo was designed to handle two internet connections at the same time so that would be a bad idea.
