Humming noise when corded phone is connected to the Telo

Humming noise when corded phone is connected to the Telo

Hello,

I'm new to the Ooma Telo and I've been making some test.

I noticed that whenever my corded phone is connected to the Telo unit I hear a humming noise (sounds like a 60hz noise) when starting to dial the number (as soon as the welcome sound is turned off).

I've made some test to find out that when the phone is NOT connected to the Telo unit (using my landline that is still in function), this noise is not present. So the noise is not coming from my phone, but from the combination of my phone and the Telo.

Any ideas as to what could cause this?
Is this "normal"?
