Call Quality on ported number

Post by TheGeekJedi » Sat Dec 23, 2017 4:44 pm

New user here. I have the Telo and 2 HD2 handsets. My main line was ported over, and I took a second number from Ooma.

I had called support because there was a problem with the second line. They got it sorted out, and called me. The call waiting beep went off and I connected to line 2. The sound quality on Line 2, the "original" Ooma line was fantastic, but then when I switched back to "Line 1" (the line that was ported over) the call quality was average.

Does this have something to do with the number being ported? I also noticed that it didn't show up as an option for a Google voice extension, while the "Line 2" number does.
