HD3 handset - speakerphone quality and call quality

Questions:

1) I am experiencing lousy call quality on the HD3 handsets - two of them.

Would this East Coast server help? [I'm in MA.]

2) The speakerphone sounds like folks are under water.

Is there a setting for this? I have 150/150 M.

Do you have a regular phone you could use to test the sound quality? It might just be the HD3 handsets.

Sorry if I wasn't clear - yes, I think it is the handsets.

Older phone / speakerphone work OK.


I was told that support had tried tweaking a setting on the handsets to help with the speakerphone issue, but, to be honest, I'm not sure I believe that.

I own two HD3 handsets and have not experienced any sound quality issues when using the speakerphone or ear speaker. Both sound really good to me so not sure why your two handsets are having sound quality issues.

So I want to chime in on this.. Ooma sent me 4 replacement HD3 handsets while trying to figure out the initial launch bugs of the firmware. Thing is, the replacements seem to suffer from the garbled speaker phone problem that the older revision D HD2 handsets had. So now I think, that there’s some bad batch of HD3 handsets. These probably have a similar garbled speaker phone problem. The original 4 HD3’s I got from amazon did not have any garbled speaker phone problem.
