Static IP Address or Dynamic?

Post by RickO » Tue Feb 10, 2009 8:42 pm

My BellSouth Fast Access DSL bill shows that I have a fixed IP address. Does this work any better/worse than a dynamic IP address with ooma?
Thanks

same thing performance-wise, IP addressing (static) is for other applications such as running a server and what-not.

It has no affect on your Ooma setup (better or worst)

Simply use dynamic for ease of setup
