Quality Issues with Calls to The Caribbean
Has anyone on the forum been able to make calls with acceptable quality to Caribbean countries?
I just got my ooma system, and I've made a few long distance and international test calls that were all of excellent quality, with the exception of calls to Jamaica. On those calls, the recipient either heard absolutely nothing and just hung up, or what they heard was VERY choppy. At 30 cents per minute, I can't just keep calling back to try for a "good" connection.
FWIW, I have my system set up with an active landline and the standard recommended connection order of Cable modem > ooma > Linksys router, with a phone cord running from the the ooma hub's wall jack to the phone jack on the wall, and there's one Scout attached to a jack in another room.
