QoS recommendation

Post by ajw522 » Wed Oct 06, 2010 4:18 pm

With these settings, what should my QoS be set at? I've been experiencing a lot of voice delay lately, and hopefully QoS will solve that problem? Ooma worked very well for the last year, and now quality has begun to deteriorate...any help is greatly appreciated?

FOR VoIP speed test results, please look a few posts below.

With your current setup, there is no QoS settings. The WPN824 doesn't support managing QoS, and with the Telo behind the router QoS on the Telo is null and void . . .

Upgrade to the Netgear WNDR3700 for QoS management . . .

QoS managed by router via Ethernet port . . .

Acutally, that Netgear Router does support QoS, but I also have another Cisco Linksys router behind that, with the Ooma behind that. I've tried even with the Ooma all the way at the front after the Cable modem, but I still have the voice lag...let me update my signature.

Login to your web interface, and it's at the bottom of your scroll screen on the left, three options up from Logout:

That's what I assumed when you said you had no QoS Settings...now, let's talk about MY QoS settings, shall we? :P
