List of HD compatible telephones

Dennis? Tested any of the new so named HD cordless phones by Vtech and under the the Vtech and AT&T Brand?

Guys,

I understand that as long as the Handset supports HD and is DECT6.0 compatible it should work with Telo, but will the other functionality like the address book transfer, DND etc will work?

All non pulse phone should work with Ooma. HD, you can only get from a handful of phones other than Ooma Telo handset.

Ooma features you mentioned (online address book sync, DND) would only work with Ooma Telo handset.

The answer is no. Need to connect to Telo's "phone" port. Connecting to Linx, you get about the same quality as Hub's "phone" port.

900-265-1007 (Ooma radio commercial)

Needed a desk speaker phone (my DECT 6 phone base is a terrible speaker phone) so I did some surfing to find the one I wanted (based on Dennis' list posted a while back).

My want was pretty simple: good quality speaker phone with good enough caller ID screen and AC powered (instead of just battery so buttons light up and LCD backlit etc). If HD compatible, that much better. AT&T 993 was an excellent fit. I found it new on eBay for cheap (roughly $50+ including shipping). If you walk into Staples or some place like that, they have newer AT&T model desk phones like AT&T ML17939 (not HD compatible).

I happened to have an AT&T 210 before getting Ooma service and I tested it using a Linx and the Telo phone port with the HD test numbers. It sounded great with both! I think the bird song is the best example of how good HD voice can sound. If any Telo user wants to hear the full capabilities of their system, I highly recommend getting an HD compatible phone. Amazon has the 210 for just $10.

Now I wish everyone I call would have Ooma service and an HD capable phone.

Linx connected phone won't sound as good when calling these HD numbers. You won't hear all of the Bird Song. Ooma HD2 handset is best. These HD compatibles sound pretty close to HD2 when connected to Telo phone port.
