Voice mail deleted upon sending email notification?

I set up voice mail notification so it emails the attachment to me.
But I noticed that this feature doesn't place the new messages in my Ooma voice mail box any more (and subsequently no VM waiting indicator.)

Is this really the way it works? If you get emailed the .wav file it deletes it out of your VM box?

My Vocalocity VOIP account for work lets me choose to keep or delete the VM in the box upon email notification.

Maybe I could ask for this feature on Ooma. I'd like the VM to be in the box so that someone at home knows there's a message in addition to the email sent to me.

Thanks.

When ever I get a voicemail it is always in my voicemail box (with blinking indicator), online, and in my email. Never gets deleted anywhere.

Never mind. Mystery solved. My wife has been deleting the messages. I didn't think she had even touched it.
Ugh, I feel so stupid.

Nothing to see here.... move along...

Thanks.

Wayne,

So if a man says something in the woods where his wife can't hear him, is he still wrong?

And what about this Adam and Eve thing. Seems to me that Eve took that first bite but it was good old Adam who took the blame.

Ahhh, but after 26 (on April 9) years of marital bliss, I wouldn't trade my wonderful bride for anything. She makes Mother Teresa pale when it comes to grace and understanding. And she let me buy an ooma!
