As far as I know, this incident had to do with XO....users I know with other carriers were not affected.
Re: Ooma down? (4:30PM PST)
what is xo? I have comcast, are you talking about internet provider? Ours went back up around 9pm 01 Jan
Re: Ooma down? (4:30PM PST)
XO is a communications company that provides landline termination for VOIP providers.lc96 wrote:what is xo? I have comcast, are you talking about internet provider? Ours went back up around 9pm 01 Jan
http://www.xo.com/
The only calls that Ooma handles by themselves are Ooma to Ooma calls.
Everything else gets handed off to a "traditional service provider".

Are you still having issues? Our carrier resolved some of the issues today.

Re: Ooma down? (4:30PM PST)
Here's one customer who might do exactly that. When I wrote (not by e-mail but by certified mail) to the president of American Airlines, my problem got resolved posthaste. When I wrote to the present of US Sprint, certified, with copies to the Florida Public Service Commission and to the Common Carrier Bureau of FCC, action was fast too, and included an immediate refund of every cent I had paid to Sprint in several months.southsound wrote:Just curious - would you do this if you had ATT, Qwest, or Verizon - or would you just call service/support and let them work on it? My phone service on my Qwest landline was out for over a day and then flakey for 4 more last year. I was happy just to make the report and have them do their job in making things whole again. Is VoIP somehow different?fin1966 wrote:I just emailed the CEO. Lets hope this gets fixed asap.
Haven't had occasion to write to the CEO of Ooma, but who knows?
