The tests look pretty good. "Jitter: server --> you: 6.0 ms" is slightly high, should be less than 5 ms. Probably wouldn't affect Ooma voice service much but might for faxing.

To access Ooma Setup try:

Vista is know to have problems with IPv6 addressing. And unless you use IPv6 for some special application,
disable IPv6 Address per:

http://www.mydigitallife.info/2007/09/0 ... -in-vista/

Don't go into your Vista registry, just uncheck the box for your wired LAN network connection, per the instructions given in the link above. Than try accessing Ooma Setup http://172.27.35.1

If that doesn't work,

Download Firefox free Internet browser, install, and try accessing Ooma Setup http://172.27.35.1
Set MAC Address to use Built-IN per instructions in previous post.

Don't use Chrome. Firefox or IE works better.

Since you can't access Ooma Setup, I'd give Ooma Support a call. If your Ooma device is within the one year from purchase date, they probably will give you an exchange unit. Tell them you need to make adjustment to QoS and MAC address, but can't access those functions.

Re: problem faxing UPDATE

Post by bak » Sat Mar 12, 2011 9:07 pm

CS had me turn antivirus off, and I was finally able to access the telo setup page and make changes
For those of you techys who help others here, may wish to remember this one.
FYI I am running Kasperkey AV

Made following changes requested by lbmofo using firefox, didn't try IE, all previous settings in this forum post same
QOS section does not have "reserved bandwidth for calls" section-no changes
QOS upstream internet speed changed from 384 to 0zero
changed modem port MAC adress to "use built in"
rebooted modem, router, telo
tried fax
*99,xxxxxxx=connect,send,error
*99,xxxxxxxxxx=instant busy
*99,1xxxxxxxxxx=connect,send,error

about got very upset when I had internet connection, but would not load ANY web pages. Computer reboot fixed.

back where I was with fax problem, suggestions?
