would splitter go on fax or rest of house phones?

thunderbird wrote: reduce your fax transmission speed to 9600 bps .
already set slowest possible 28800bps
thunderbird wrote:Also, turn off Error Correction mode on both fax sending and receiving machines, if it is on.
Just turned off sending fax, no control of receiving fax, will try again

-dsl filter on fax
-fax straight to telo with out dsl filter, with all other lines/phones disconnected(dsl filter on house line pointless if doesnt even work without house phone lines hooked up)
-fax straight to telo with dsl filter as above-no other lines

connects,sends,fails

only thing I see may help

"I followed the directions but my faxes still aren't working right. What can I do?
Faxing over Ooma is highly dependent on the quality of your Internet connection. Faxing technology was developed to work over regular phone lines, which do not experience the same amount of delay and data loss that Internet networks do today. Although it is already possible to send and receive faxes with Ooma, we're always looking into new ways to improve the reliability with faxing with the Ooma system. In the mean time, ensuring that your setup is configured in the optimal way is your surest way of successfully sending and receiving faxes. If you are having difficulties sending or receiving faxes, please try the following troubleshooting steps:
•Ensure that your Ooma device is hooked up directly to your modem, ahead of your router (Setup Option A in your Quick Start Guide•Disable “ECM” (i.e., “Error Correction Mode”) on your fax machine
•Decrease the transmission or baud rate
•Reduce the number of pages that are sent per fax
•Decrease the desired image quality of the fax
•Discontinue any large file downloads (for receiving faxes) or uploads (for sending faxes)"

although when I first installed could not get telo to work direct to modem, have never logged into telo direct to try any setting changes

I don't know if anyone has asked, but can you receive faxes connected to Ooma?

Something else to try and the procedure will also tell you how to access "Ooma Setup" where Ooma Quality of Service upload/download setting are located.
Here is a procedure that shuts off MAC address spoofing. MAC address spoofing can make the FAX machine think that the Internet/phone line connections have been momentarily broken.

Something else to try:
a. Access your Ooma Telo “home port” by plugging in a network cable from the Ooma Telo’s “Home” port to a computer’s network card port. Sometimes you have to restart your computer after installing the network cable, so that a proper connection occurs.
b. Type http://setup.ooma.com or http://172.27.35.1 in you browser address window and hit enter. The “Ooma Setup” window opens.
c. In the left hand Navigation window, select “Network”.
d. Under “Modem Port MAC Address”, select Use Built in:
e. Select the “Update button”.
f. Do a “cold boot” of the modem.
g. Do a “cold boot” of the Ooma device or Router, which ever device is next in line.
h. After the Ooma device or router cold boot, do a “cold boot” of the Ooma device or router, which ever device is next in line.

Your modem looks okay.

Could you do the whichvoip test and copy the text in the advanced tab?

With a computer connected with a network cable connected to the Ooma device's "Home" port, click on the computer's "Start" menu. Click on "Run", than type cmd in the blank line and click Ok. A dos window will open. Behind the C:\ type in ipconfig and hit enter. Post results here.

Also run http://speedtest.phonepower.com/ and post results here.
