I know I have problem with multi ring. But here we are talking about the low voice of voice mail. Do the low volume has anything to do with multi ring or forwarding?

Add me to the list. After a recent upgrade I now have the low volume bug.

Can barely hear voicemail on my telo unit. It used to be loud and clear until the latest upgrade.
Simple setup. Just one line. Only the sound from the base unit is lousy.

Just had to voice my frustration.

EDIT:
Just an update. I'm having a new Telo sent to me. Hopefully this is the solution. Mine is under warranty. Don't know what happens if an upgrade ruins an out of warranty Telo.

EDIT2:

New Telo solved the problem. Thanks Ooma. :)

This is a big enough problem that Ooma wants me to send my unit back to them for analysis. They don't want me to return it to the place of purchase. Email support if you have a problem. I recommend NOT waiting until after porting your landline to see if it works. Get a replacement now.

Again, new Ooma, new Ooma number, no landline integration or porting yet.

I called customer support. They did something and a reboot. The voice is a lot better now. Not as loud as I would like but acceptable.

I might have something of interest to you guys.

I just setup my Ooma Telo yesterday.

When moving it around (not rough at all, just normal pick up, set down) I suddenly heard something rattling around inside. I think it is the speaker inside. When I first used it, the volume was just fine. After the 'rattling' I could barely hear anything even at volume level 4.

I'm debating whether or not to peel it apart myself, or RMA this BRAND NEW UNIT right back to Ooma.

Drop it a foot or so on carpet, so that it lands on the left end or right end, and it will probably pop open.

I received a new box from Ooma this afternoon. The voicemail works as expected with good volume at level 4 and incrementally decreasing down to 1.

If you aren't satisfied with your voicemail volume either call tech support or email support to resolve the problem. Don't accept a bad box and hope it works after you port your landline.

Great Post Paul52: Everyone needs to know what the proper course of action should be, especially if their Ooma device is still in warranty.

I've received a total of 3 Ooma Telo's in the past 3 weeks. All of them have had volume related issues. The first one worked for a couple of days and then became distorted when you turn to level 3 or level 4. This was returned to the retailer. The next one I received was extremly faint on all 4 levels and was exchanged through an RMA. The replacement received is tolerable at best. You can hear at level 4 if you are in a quiet environment. I would say that some improvement could be made to improve the Telo's sound amplification.

I asked Ooma to send a replacement Telo. The voicemail volume on the replacement unit is so low it is not useable even on the highest setting (4). I am sending it back and keeping my original which has higher volume but is still too low. Why all these problems with voicemail volume? I can listen to messages on telephone and no problem.
