On my Ooma Telo I have 2 different outgoing greetings. I have one Ooma Telo handset that is only for my 2nd line and not shared. I can access my 2nd line voicemail through the Ooma Telo handset.

Is there a way to access my 2nd line voicemail on the Telo device itself? (hitting the play button)

No, to access your 2nd line's voicemail, you would need to pick up the phone connected to your Telo and dial your second phone number. This will route you to your 2nd line's greeting. There is no way to have your Telo play your 2nd line's messages by pushing "play" on the Telo base.
