I'm in the 215 area code and just called 800 222 1811 on my Telo and my Hub with no problem.
It's the USPS automated package tracking number.

Just tried that number from my virtual second line (also 650) - fast busy
This is clearly a real problem for some of us...

I'm on ooma classic, customer since 2009. I'm going to try 20min reboot process to see if it resolves the issue.

Guys-
Insisted on speaking with tier 2 support. The person I was on with knew about the issue because he himself has 2 different Telo accounts, and 1 is working with 800 numbers, the other is not.
My incident (ticket) is being forwarded to engineering, and they will advise when they know more. Short story - at least someone knows this is an active problem affecting multiple users

I'm in area code 720, power cycled again to no avail even after several hours. I did get a response from the email I sent and sadly it was as worthless as I expected. Even though I pointed out I couldn't even call Ooma, this is what they sent.

Dear Sir/Madam,

Good day! Thank you for contacting Ooma Customer Care!
I am sorry for the inconvenience of not being able to place calls to 800 numbers. Let me see what I can do to help you with this.
Please be advised that Toll-free numbers are sometimes regionalized and not loaded in every tandem in the United States, therefore making the toll-free number inaccessible. Most companies should have a regular phone number that can be dialed instead of a toll-free number Toll Free numbers can be restricted to a region of any size. If the your number is not in that region, you will most likely won't be bale to connect.
It is recommended to dial the local number instead of the 800 number. It's still a free call with Ooma.
If you have further questions or require additional clarification, please write me back and I will respond to you as quickly as possible, usually the same day. Your satisfaction is important to me, and I will make sure we bring this to resolution consistent with your expectations. If it’s more convenient, you can also visit our support website https://www.ooma.com/support and check out our wide variety of helpful articles that may answer any additional questions that might come up in the future.
Thank you for choosing Ooma! Have a nice day!
Sincerely,
Emma
Ooma Customer Care Specialist

They don't even bother to read because if they did, they would see this wasn't a one off issue. I am still unable to call the numbers, thank god for google voice, (looking into an obihai) because I have a work around.
Sorry to see that other people are experiencing the same issue but maybe that means Ooma will do something about it. They may want to tell their own support staff, specifically Emma, that this is a problem and not tell send insulting emails.

I wonder if you have ten digit dialing enabled.

If not, enable ten digit dialing at https://my.ooma.com/system, then try dialing the 800 number without the 1 in front, and see what happens.
